The IHP Friendly Flyer #1999- MAD magazine

Checking in for one of my final posts of the year (yeah, I only posted one other time this year). It was a hectic year (which will be explained in THE final post of the year). I was very lucky this year and got to work on a bunch of stuff. BUNCH of stuff. Hence the lack of posts. Anyway, one of the greatest publications ever asked me to contribute illustrations, not once but THREE Times, this year!

The first one was for the extra special “Weird AL” Yankovic guest-edited issue. It was a 2 page illustration for an article titled,”Things To Ask Your Sex Ed Teacher (Just To Mess With Him)”. It was written by the hilarious Kenny Keil and appears in issue #533 (June 2015).

The next issue, I contributed art to The Fundalini Pages section. “Common Mistakes to Avoid in a Rap Battle” was written by Kenny Keil. The issue is #534 (August 2015)

The third piece was also written by Kenny Keil (and again, very funny). This one also appeared in The Fundalini Pages section.  “Overheard at 50 Cent’s Bankruptcy Estate Sale” features 50 and the G-Unit holding a yard sale. Issue #536

As always, I have a great time working on these MAD magazine illustrations, and I’m honored to be part of such a legendary publication. Many thanks to Ryan Flanders, Sam Viviano, Kenny Keil and the crew at MAD!

IHP Yearly Dispatch #689 – 20Fifteensies

Hey All-
alo

Yeah it’s been more than a minute. Still designing characters for TMNT , still coloring for Scholastic. MAD Magazine #533 is on the stands, have a 2 page illustration in that. More color work on deck. Just finished some more MAD Magazine goodness. Goosebumps will be out soon. Stan Wenches is fixing to drop some new Cornflakes! on your heads. There is plenty to look forward to. I’ve been sneaking some personal work in here and there. When that’s ready you will know. I’ve also been cleaning hard drives and archiving older work, so I might post some of that in the meantime. Then when the new work is ready, I will post that.  Hope all is good in Internetsville. Don’t forget to follow on Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Instragrams. I haven’t quite been up on all that, but I update it more frequently than this blog.

Stay UP!
Jose Geezy.

issue and date as soon as I know.
Since I haven’t posted much art lately, I figured I’d post sketches from
the last Mad article I did, from the Feb. 07 issue.

“It’s been a long time” No. 3,000 : New Characters and Art- Edited

Hooooo! Over two months since the last update!
I’ve had a lot going on lately, sadly not as productive as I’d like to be.
Been swimming through these clouds over my head, I wonder
if it’s the weather shifts. I keep starting new scam comics, end
up trashing them before I could finish.
So, what’s the haps?

I have a new website:
www.littlebrownheart.com

I’ve been featured on www.drawn.ca
(thanks, guys! You blew my hit counter up and I couldn’t be
happier about it)

Bunch of shit is brewing in my secret skull. A couple short stories
by year’s and an original Jose G comic series, hopefully early
07. Hopefully.

Got three pages in an upcoming issue of Mad magazine. Don’t
know which one, though…

Here’s a bunch of new, original character designs.
They’re all part of the Little Brown Heart takeover.

Scam! 04/07/06

Chweet dreams are maitre’de (s)…
in other news- Ugh. I’m tired. I have this new routine (at least for the
next couple weeks) where I get up, go to work, come home around
5:30, go to sleep til 8-8:30, get up and get to work(at home). This
project romantic story is doing a number on me, but it is bringing
back the passion for drawing/coloring/et al… I just can’t wait until
the summer.
Not looking foward to doing the whole tax thing next week. every
year I swear I’m gonna get them shits done early, and I never do…
To everybody that’s e-mailed, called, texted, etc…sorry if I haven’t
replied yet. I’m slow. I’m trying to stay in this work mode right now,
that’s why I’m not going out for coffee and all that shee-eie-yot. I’ll
probably break out tomorrow night, hit the beetle (as usual). Just
trying to save some dough, plus stay close to home. Once this story
is all wrapped up I’ll be oot and aboot again.
Peace,
Chy’ull<

Jose G

Oh! New ish of Mad Kids (Zack & Cody (w.t.fuck?) cover) should

Teen Heaven on the Real.

So, after wondering if it made the cut, I spotted a glimpse of two Teen Heaven comic strips on the Real World: Philly! Keep your eyes open when they show the computer room/ office. It’s on the back wall there. Also keep an eye out for Chynna’s Scooter Girl and other Oni goodies!
Many thanks to Jenny Sireci. She’s the bomb.

So I’m hoping to get this page on the website ( www.josegaribaldi.com ) I want to create a new opening page with two paths, one to my portfolio/gallery and the other to my Internet House Party. It’s a celebration, pendejos. I’m even working on my high top fade. Ola Ola Ey!

Jingle Belle volume two issue one is now wrapped. Just wait three months and she’s all yours.
I’m this ** close to finishing the pencils to issue two. Paul did a great job with this story, so I hope I do it justice!

Check out this mix, it’s quite dope.
